The Story

Mark started writing this story and its songs while his project 99 - A Rock Opera was getting ready for stage production in the summer of 2016. The story originated as he considered how different people find themselves alienated from the people all around them. While first thinking about veterans and convicts, he quickly realized that this alienation is pervasive in our society and ironically may be one of the few unifying aspects of our current condition.

Mark's brother Robert Baughman is a prominent physician and Dr.Baughman gave him the idea of including the autistic character Patrick. As the plot line developed Dr. Baughman gave technical medical support to the idea that Amy could indeed stumble on a treatment for Autism and the plot could realistically follow the lines in the story.

Were it so easy.
